We understand that visiting a new church can be intimidating, and we want you to feel welcome worshiping with us. Here is a sneak peek into a normal Sunday worship service at Sooner Park Wesleyan Church.

SUNDAY MORNING SERVICES

A Warm Welcome

Our friendly greeters will give you a warm welcome as soon as you walk through the door. They love seeing new faces and would be happy to help get settled for the service or even just chat.

Friendly, Caring People

Our congregation is like one big family, embracing people from all personalities, ethnicities, and income levels. Early in the worship service, we have the opportunity to greet one another, connect with old friends, and meet new ones. This is a favorite part of the service for many people, and the family atmosphere is evident.

Heartfelt Worship

In addition to connecting with our church family, one of the most important things we do on Sunday mornings is to worship God through music. Our fantastic worship team gives every generation the chance to worship, with everything from contemporary songs for our youth to the hymns and gospel songs that many of the older generation enjoy. We understand that reverent and heartfelt worship can be expressed in different ways by different people. Some prefer standing, some raise their hands, some sit quietly. Feel free to worship God in the way that fits your personality. During our time of worship, the pastor leads everyone in prayer for the needs of the SPWC family. Many folks kneel at the altar to pray, and those who go down will often have a church family member kneeling and praying with them.

Biblical Teaching

After our time of worship, the pastor gives a passionate, heartfelt, and Biblical message. He always delivers the truth with grace, and you can be sure to come away encouraged and inspired to walk closer to Christ.
